Which countries have the least sustainable finances ?

Risk analysts Maplecroft rank 163 countries according to how well they’ll cope with increasing economic pressure from ageing populations. In summary, things look extremely bad for Europe’s big economies and Japan, just very bad for the USA, Canada, the rest of Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The detailed map is hidden behind a free trial/pay wall thing. But the one in Maplecroft’s media release is probably plenty big enough, unless you’re wanting information on somewhere like Liechtenstein
