Time lapse of London from space

A fascinating, but all too  brief time-lapse video from rocket scientist, Nathan Bergey .

The animation is a compilation of daily pictures of southern England and Wales over the course of 2010. Images are from the MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) on NASA’s Terra satellite. A spacecraft which captures similar photos of most of the earth every day

As you might imagine, with this being the UK there’s a lot of cloud cover. However you can make out snow at the beginning and end of the movie, plus a subtle change in vegetation colour through the year.
