Satellite image of Abbottabad taken after Bin Laden’s death

GeoEye has just released fresh high resolution satellite imagery of Osama Bin Laden’s walled compound in Pakistan. Amazingly it was taken the day U.S. Forces killed Bin Laden – May 2 2011,  at 10.21 am local time,  about ten hours after the attack.

you can clearly make out a blackened area to the left of the building complex – presumably the site of the crashed US helicopter. Also the red plastic fencing erected by the Pakistan authorities after the raid.
