Mapping the Turmoil in Libya

Complimenting their recent map of protests in Cairo, the New York Times have put together another great interactive time line showing unfolding events in Libya

The application takes the form of a slide-show combining a map with descriptions of events. It starts on February 16th with the first protests in Benghazi, and has a new map for every subsequent day indicating protests, movements of the Gaddafi government’s forces, and how territory has fallen to the opposition.
